Sneeuberg Brewery
The beers brewed at The Brewery make use of the finest ingredients of malt, hops, yeast and filtered spring water. The beers we produce are primarily traditional beers such as Ales and Bitters as opposed to the more commercial Lager varieties. Andre opened The Brewery in 2003 and is currently distributing his beer from The Brewery in Nieu Bethesda as well as from some establishments in Nieu Bethesda and Aberdeen. Bottled beer is sold under the Sneeuberg label with the popular Karoo Ale currently being bottled and sold to tourists. Visitors are able to enjoy three different types of beer on tap at The Brewery. They are the Karoo Ale which is a medium bodied thirst quenching ale, Honey Ale a slightly heavier ale with a hint of honey and Roasted Ale a dark stout type ale with a lightly roasted flavour.
The aim is to introduce beer drinkers to the myriad of tastes, flavours and aromas that the combination of malt and hops is able to inspire and produce a beer that makes for pleasurable drinking. As opposed to commercial breweries where a carbonation process is used, our beers are naturally carbonated through the interaction of yeasts and sugars.
